My favourite holiday
In modern times there are a lot of holidays in Russia. Some of them recall the important historical events of our country, for example, May 9 (the day of victory over fascist Germany), February 23 (the day of defender of the fatherland, originally associated with the creation of the Red Army), June 12 (the day of Russia, we celebrate the adoption of the declaration on state sovereignty of the RSFSR).
But there are family holidays when all relatives gather to share good news and a positive mood or just to be with people close in spirit. To such holidays I attribute the modern celebration of the Day of family, love and fidelity, which is celebrated on July 8. Perhaps this is the youngest holiday, it appeared in 2008 and is associated with saints Peter and Fevronia, patrons of marriage and family ties.
The symbol of this day is the chamomile. On this day, it is customary to give bouquets of chamomiles or cards with the image of chamomile s, to weave wreaths of these flowers. Moreover, many young people seek to register their marriage on this day, in the hope that it will be happy and long-lasting. If couples have been married for more than 25 years and citizens consider their union a role model, since they lived soul to soul and raised worthy children, these couples receive medals “For Love and Fidelity”.
Personally, I believe that this is one of the most important and sincere holidays, because the family is paramount in the life of any person

В современное время в России существуют большое количество праздников. Одни из них напоминают о важных исторических событиях нашей страны, например, 9 мая (день победы над фашисткой Германией), 23 февраля (день защитника отечества, первоначально связанный с созданием Красной Армии), 12 июня (День России, мы отмечаем принятие декларации о государственном суверенитете РСФСР).
Но есть семейные праздники, когда все родственники собираются, чтобы поделиться хорошими новостями позитивным настроением или просто побыть с близкими по духу людьми. К таким праздникам я отношу современное торжество День семьи, любви и верности, которое отмечается 8 июля. Возможно, это самый молодой праздник, он появился в 2008 и связан со святыми Петром и Февронией, покровителями брака и семейных уз.
Символом этого дня стала ромашка. В этот день принято дарить букеты из ромашек или открытки с изображением ромашек, плести венки из этих цветов. Более того, многие молодые люди стремятся зарегистрировать свой брак именно в этом день, в надежде, что он будет счастливым и долговечным. Пары, которые прожили в браке более 25 лет и их союз граждане считают образцом для подражания, поскольку они прожили душа в душу и воспитали достойных детей, эти пары получают медали «За любовь и верность».
Лично я считаю, что это один из самых важных и душевных праздников, потому что семья – это первостепенное в жизни любого человека.
