The weather in Russia
The climate in our country is quite diverse. For example, in the North the temperatures can fall far below 0 degrees. Whereas in the South it’s quite warm even in May. When in the West it’s moderate, it’s snowing in the east. And vice versa: the snow is still covering most of taiga, Sochi is full of the visitors having rest.
Our country is the biggest country in the world as far as the territory is concerned. And, consequently, one can’t say that the climate is uniformed in Russia. There is permafrost, and there are regions with the arid and hot climate. There is moderate climate, and there’s sharp continental climate.
But I think that it’s rather good. Our country is huge. And one can always transfer form one climatic zone to another.

Климатические условия в нашей стране очень разные. Например, не севере даже летом температура может опускаться ниже нуля градусов. Тогда как на юге уже в мае может быть довольно жарко. Когда на западе России становится прохладно, на востоке уже выпадает снег. И наоборот: снег еще на сошел в тайге, а в Сочи уже полно отдыхающих.
Наша страна – самая большая на планете по занимаемо территории. И, следовательно, нельзя сказать, что климат в России универсален. Есть вечная мерзлота, а есть районы с засушливым и жарким климатом. Есть умеренный климат, а есть резко континентальный.
Но, мне кажется – это даже хорошо. Наша страна огромна. Всегда можно переместиться из того климата, который тебе не подходит, туда, где тебе нравится.
