Топики по английскому языку с переводом

Тема «Город» является одной из основных при изучении английского языка. Школьникам, абитуриентам, студентам требуется овладеть необходимым лексическим минимумом, уметь рассказывать о городах стран изучаемого языка, например: Великобритании (London, Liverpool, Bath, Edinburgh, Glasgow, etc), США (Washington, New-York, San-Fransisco, Chicago, etc.), Канады (Toronto, Quebec, Montreal, etc), Австралии (Sydney, Canberra), Новой Зеландии (Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, etc), и родной страны: о Москве, Санкт-Петербурге и обязательно о родном городе или деревне. Последняя тема предусмотрена для самостоятельной работы. Каждый город, село, деревня – неповторимы. В них есть что-то свое, уникальное, что не поддается трафаретным описаниям. Ниже представлены образцы текстов «Мой родной город». Конечно, описывая свой город, не следует принимать данные тексты как единственно возможные. Их можно изменить, в зависимости от ситуации, что-то опустить, что-то добавить. Рассказывая о городе, надо сосредоточить внимание слушателя на достопримечательностях, которые есть только в вашем городе, упомянуть о названиях улиц, площадей, парков, вокзалов, аэропортов, театров и кинотеатров.

Mr. White lives in a suburb of London. His house is not very large, but it is well-planned and comfortable. It is a modern two-storeyed cottage with an attic. The cottage is made of bricks and perfectly painted. The area around the cottage is fenced by the low stone wall with the gate made of black cast iron. There are some powerful lanterns near the fence.

There is a green lawn in front of the house. The grass of the lawn is always neatly cut. Mr. White is fond of growing evergreen plants such as pines and fir trees, junipers, cedars. That is why there are only juniper bushes, an old oak and a couple of young fir-trees  in front of the house. Beds  of flowers, a little orchard with a few apple-trees in it and a small swimming-pool are at the back of the house.

A VOYAGE AROUND EUROPE

— Hi, Peter. Haven’t seen you long. Where have you been? I even wondered what had happened to you.
— Relax! I’m here now and I’m very glad to see you. In fact I’m quite all right and I’ve had a terribly exciting experience. Listen, my Uncle Tom took me on a cruise round Europe.
— Did he really? I guess you’ve seen a lot of wonderful things. Tell me about everything!
— Surely! Uncle Tom had a very important business in Europe. Indeed it was a business trip for him but he decided to take me.
— Why?
— He speaks French, Italian and German fluently. I know Spanish and Greek. You see? So he invited me to join him in his trip and sometimes I helped him as an interpreter. It was a great opportunity to master my languages. Besides I had a fantastic travelling by sea!
— Where did you sail from?
— From Dover.

Английский язык открывает множество дорог, поэтому во многих школах и высших учебных заведениях его изучение является обязательным. Конечно, чаще всего детей приучают к иностранному языку со второго класса путем легких игр и небольших стишков и песенок. Однако становление нужного мышления начинается с пятого-шестого класса, и именно тогда нужно начинать сознательно изучать грамматику, структуру предложений и лексику.

Topic TRAVELLING. Топик ПУТЕШЕСТВИЯ

Travelling is the most favourite occupation of almost all people. We are taught by the historians that many thousand years ago our ancestors migrated from one place to another because they were seeking food. Perhaps the historians are right. But there is another point of view. Unfortunately it is impossible to prove it. Obviously savage people moved from one place to another because they had absolutely nothing to do and they hated the idea of sitting at the same place. In fact they were fond of travelling. They liked getting new impressions about the surrounding world that was so beautiful that people did not count with all dangers. Hunting,  fishing, picking berries and fruit appeared later than travelling. Savage people killed wild animals when they were very hungry or when these animals showed the people that they were hungry and people were forced to kill them saving their lives.

Работа над диалогами при изучении английского языка подразумевает знание лексического материала и знакомство с основными грамматическими категориями (видовременными формами английских глаголов). Одной из главных проблем изучающих английский язык является усвоение сокращенных форм глаголов. На начальном этапе носителям русского языка трудно понять, какие именно слова можно сокращать, а какие — нет.
